UR-WISE Team Visit to Paris: Strengthening Spin-Off Development and Research Partnerships

January 21-24, 2026

As part of ongoing UR-WISE activities aimed at strengthening international collaboration and institutional capacity, researchers from the Faculty of Economics, University of Niš (FEUN) Jelena Stanković, Ivana Marjanović, and Marina Stanojević successfully completed a research study visit to Université Paris Dauphine–PSL.

The visit focused on exchanging knowledge and practical experience related to the establishment and operation of academic spin-offs, with particular emphasis on the innovation ecosystem developed at Dauphine-PSL. Special attention was devoted to LAMSADE (Laboratoire d’Analyse et Modélisation de Systèmes pour l’Aide à la Décision), a leading research laboratory specialising in analytics, modelling, and decision-support systems. Discussions highlighted how LAMSADE effectively bridges advanced research with real-world applications, offering valuable insights for the further development of UR-WISE spin-off activities.

The visit was hosted by Professor Alexis Tsoukias, joined by Professor Pavlos Delias from the University of Thrace. During the stay, the FEUN team held constructive meetings with Professor Tsoukias and his colleague, Professor Brice Mayag, exploring opportunities for future joint project proposals and collaborative initiatives, aligned with UR-WISE objectives in data-based policy analytics and institutional transformation.

In addition, the researchers attended the celebration marking 50 years of PSL, an event that provided further opportunities for networking and institutional dialogue. On this occasion, the team also met with Meltem Öztürk, Vice-President of PSL, contributing to the strengthening of long-term professional and institutional links between FEUN and Dauphine-PSL.

Overall, the Paris visit represents an important outcome for UR-WISE, reinforcing international partnerships, supporting the development of sustainable spin-off models, and laying the groundwork for future collaborative research and innovation activities that will benefit both institutions and the broader European Research Area.
