UR-WISE Team Participates in the D&E Academy Review Workshop

February 11, 2026

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening the impact, dissemination, and sustainability of research results, the UR-WISE project team participated in the D&E Academy Review Workshop, held on 11 February 2026. This workshop represents the second milestone within the Academy’s three-stage capacity-building programme dedicated to advancing exploitation and dissemination strategies across Horizon Europe projects.

The event brought together selected project representatives whose Key Exploitable Results (KERs) had been chosen for further development within the Academy framework. UR-WISE participation in this process reflects the project’s strong innovation potential and its strategic orientation toward maximising societal, policy, and scientific impact.

From Research Results to Real-World Impact

The morning sessions focused on refining the market positioning of project results. Through interactive working formats, combining in-person and online collaboration, participants reviewed and validated their Market Definition Canvas, identifying target users, beneficiaries, and application environments for UR-WISE knowledge outputs.

This was followed by dedicated sessions on assessing competitive advantage through the Value Proposition Canvas, where project teams analysed how their results respond to stakeholder needs, policy demands, and territorial development challenges. These exercises helped position UR-WISE research within a broader ecosystem of innovation, policymaking, and regional development practice.

The afternoon programme shifted toward the strategic design of dissemination and exploitation frameworks. A dedicated working session guided participants through the development of exploitation strategies using practical instruments such as the characterisation table, exploitation roadmap, and the Lean Canvas model ensuring that research outputs are not only scientifically robust but also transferable, scalable, and policy-relevant.

Strengthening UR-WISE Impact Strategy

Participation in the D&E Academy Review Workshop marks an important step in reinforcing UR-WISE’s capacity to translate research excellence into tangible societal value. By systematically developing exploitation models and dissemination strategies, the project is ensuring that its work in data-based policy analytics, urban resilience, and regional development reaches policymakers, institutions, and communities across Europe and beyond.
